Safely operate Class B high pressure water jetting tools including guns, lances and rotating nozzles.
Identify and control hazards associated with pressurised systems.
Follow isolation, lockout and permit-to-work procedures.
Inspect equipment before and after use.
Work as part of a high-pressure water jetting team under supervision or direction.
This refresher also supports compliance with industry codes of practice, WHS legislation, and company-specific SOPs related to high-risk work. Many sites require formal evidence of refresher training every two years to maintain authorisation for water jetting tasks.
The refresher version of the MSMSS00017 Use high pressure water jetting equipment skill set includes the following four nationally recognised units of competency:
This training refreshes your ability to:
Refresher assessments include a short written component and practical demonstrations to verify that you still meet the operational standard for Class B jetting assistant roles.
MSMWJ202 – Use high pressure water jetting equipment is the core operational unit for Class B jetting and is also the prerequisite for MSMSS00018 – Operate a high pressure water jetting system, which qualifies you to act as a water jetting operator in more advanced roles.
