Course Overview

The RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights refresher is designed for experienced workers who need to renew their competency without completing full training. This assessment-only pathway confirms your ability to safely perform work at height, including the correct use of fall protection equipment, risk assessment, and safe work procedures.

This nationally recognised unit is essential for those working in construction, maintenance, mining, civil, telecommunications, and roofing, where tasks involve working above 2 metres or near unprotected edges.

Assessments are conducted face-to-face at our Belmont or Naval Base facility using industry-standard height safety equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, anchor points, ladders, and temporary work platforms.

This unit is often required for WHS compliance and site access across WA.

Eligibility Recommendation: We recommend this refresher pathway for individuals who have completed the full course within the last 2–5 years and have ongoing, relevant site experience. If it has been longer, or if you’re unsure of your current competency, we suggest enrolling in the full training course to ensure your skills and knowledge are up to date.
